I RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING EMAIL FROM former Senator Graeme Campbell who wrote a popular political think piece occasionally for the Kalgoorlie Miner. He had submitted his views on The Fifth Estate and related matters but after some weeks it became clear that it was not to see the light of day.

Terry McLernon is an ex policeman who has just written a book, it is called “The Fifth Estate”. The book deals with police corruption and it makes very interesting reading. The book has rather a racy style and is easy to read. Among other things the book is an indictment of Mr Kucera, one time deputy Commissioner of Police and a former Minister of the Crown. By now everyone should be familiar with the disgraceful part Mr. Kucera, played in ensuring that the Mickelberg appeal failed. It is a matter of record that judges in the Appeal court have said that it was clear that his statements under oath were not believable. The statement by ex sergeant Lewandowski put this beyond any doubt.
