HIS NAME WAS DUCKWORTH, so naturally he was known as the ‘Duck’. Although he was somewhat height challenged he had immaculate dress sense and was never seen out of the current trend whether it be double-breasted suits or Armani black dude-wear. Basically he was – is – loveable rogue who loved the life of wheeling and dealing, mostly in property, but anything else that could be turned to his financial advantage. One thing that always stood out like a duck’s bill with him, though, was his generosity. If he had some cash, then everyone had a good lunch and a better wine. I put him in the category of a Robin Hood character, knocking over the bad guys and doing a bit of good along the way. On this occasion, Robin the Duck could not let pass the opportunity which presented itself to him to deplete the coffers of the wealthy Sheriff of Nottingham.
